This fund has been established for the purpose of establishing a pool of money that will be available to sponsor existing events as are or will be authorized and to expand and develop other events that will promote Taneytown and benefit Taneytown’s citizens, businesses and recreation facilities.

The City Council of Taneytown, Maryland affirms that any proceeds contributed to the Taneytown Activities Fund or derived from any fund-raising activity for the benefit of the Taneytown Activities Fund, will be dedicated as contributions to Taneytown Activities Fund and will be transferred thereto; provided, however, that the City Council of Taneytown, Maryland reserves the right to add to the Taneytown Activities Fund and to receive gifts from any source for the Fund.
